Who doesn't love Mini-Golf? We're working to bring Mini-Golf back to Westport, creating a joint committee alongside the People with Disabilities Commission and Senior Commission.
The Westport Youth Commission has created a new Student Job Bank utilizing a new technology platform. These jobs are available to all Westport High School students.
We work with the Westport Public Library and Toquet Hall Teen Center to provide expanded study hours during exams as well as stress relief activities such as therapy dogs and bubble popping.
We've created a showcase for Westport's young entrepreneurs through our annual student creation market in Bedford Square. The event is a way for students to promote businesses they run or creations they've made.
WYC members can also work on projects where the town would benefit from the viewpoints of the resident youth. Some activities have included providing polls for town committees, meeting with the Downtown Steering Committee, and collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Merchants Association.
Once you become a member of the Youth Commission (voting or non-voting), you can join your choice of sub-committees (or both).
